DIE HARD [1st Investigation]

It's been almost a week since the X-Class Akudama found themselves in Dotonbori, and the days since Bunny and Shark's little announcement have gone on, seemingly falling on deaf ears. But now, as the sun begins to rise and turn the hanging smog red across the sky, it truly seems that blood is in the air. Not a soul is around on the streets... who will be the first to venture out?

[Right then! In that case, she'd know that the smell is leading her to a bathroom on the top floor. But first, the lobby may catch her eye...

Two drones are collapsed on the floor, looking a little dead... They're Debbie's. Or, I suppose, they were.

Also a bench is missing but we'll get to that.]

Time to investigate this other strangely shaped blood mark more closely!]

[ Oh, that sounds ominous.

How does the cut look, besides bloodstained? Do the edges of the wound give any indication what size or type of blade (serrated vs. smooth, single or double-edged) might have been used? How deep is it/what blood vessels were cut? Any sign of hesitation? ]

[* Hmm... Well, does turning the body over to the front reveal anything noteworthy?]

[ Oh no, it's actually a quadruple murder...

Where in the lobby are the drones collapsed? Nearer to the front doors, or farther in? And when Satsuki approaches them for a better look, do they have any obvious sign of exterior damage?

It's small, just a couple inches, but its unnatural shape is enough to catch anyone's eye]

[Looks like a pretty clean cut! Smooth, thin, uninterrupted and pretty much deadly, that's for sure. It didn't hit any arteries, but it's deep enough to compromise a good number of blood vessels.

As for signs of hesitation, Rideaux's expertise should be enough to be able to tell that no, the smoothness and cleanliness of the cut show whoever made this cut wasn't hesitating at all!]

[Definitely suspicious. And definitely something worth taking another picture of for the evidence files. She has a few thoughts but-- best to save them for later.

There might still be more evidence to collect! So once she's finished with that, she'll check to see if there's anything else to move on to.]

If he touched her torso to roll her over there's a fact that will jump straight away: a number Debbie's ribs are broken! Nothing pierced the skin, but it doesn't take more than a touch to feel it all yield. It's...deeply unpleasant, all things considered.

Once she's turned to the front, though, something will be noticeable on her neck. Hm!]

[* Deeply unpleasant? Strange, that doesn't seem like Flowey. He's absolutely no stranger to broken bones. He's had two skeletons to help him out with that a lot. He even became a live coach once. Once.

* He'll keep in mind the broken ribs and take a closer look at the object around her neck.]

[Certainly!

As mentioned before there are smears on one end of the pool, wide, bloody marks left in direction of the edge of the rooftop. As perhaps many would expect, they start quite full of blood and get fainter the closer to the edge they get.

There are scuff marks, too, easily seen when the blood over them gets fainter -- marks following the same path the blood follows, all the way to the edge of the rooftop. Want to take a look over the edge?]

[After some technical difficulties, Zenos will submit the evidence he found.]

I found a box precariously set on the floor, filled with simple bandages. However, this box was unopened.

Near the box were scalpels retrieved from the Executioner's headquarters, with one missing.

[They're right by the door! Don't trip.

The drones are a little beat up - a scuff here, a dent there. But it's nowhere near the amount one would think it'd require to destroy a metal object like this - they may not even be inoperable, truth be told. It probably warrants an even closer look.]

[ NOT THAT THAT NARROWS THINGS DOWN MUCH WITH THIS GROUP OF ASSHOLES, but noted... It doesn't look like they were targeting a specific vein or artery or anything then?

Is the wound deeper at one end than the other, like did the killer pull back any as they finished slicing, or does it look like they just used consistent strength all the way through and then pulled the blade back out straight? ]

[She follows the marks to the edge of the rooftop, taking another picture of the scrapes and the smears.

Once that's done, she'll peer down over the edge.]

Marks that look uncannily like hands, left with enough strength to make sure the fingers and all are quite clearly marked onto the skin]

[ She takes a picture of their initial position, and then she crouches down. If she were to pick one of those drones up to examine it more thoroughly, what would she find? ]

[* Hand marks? That's... but they were already killed via a blow to the back of the head, right? Flowey doesn't understand. He'll take a clear photo of the nexk area and then look up from where he is right now, to the top of the building. Are there any strange marks that would indicate a couple people fell down from the roof?]
