Saturday passes uneventfully save a little rain. It's on Sunday that you get a little notification of probation for new areas: Neo-Nipponbashi and Chuo. It'd be possible to investigate, to check out some anime, or to worship the defunct Shinkansen. But maybe it's hard to get excited about any of that when Friday’s events suggest that you have simply been provided some additional photogenic places to commit murder. Are you going to bother either overseer after their participation in some mockery of justice? Troll the internet? Get a bat out of Hyper Zone and just take out your frustration on everything?

Those of you who entered the pods will experience fewer “painful bursts of color” as your body is unaffected below the knees, though the same amount of “slight teleportation” glitches. Those of you who abstained from the pods will continue to experience all of the above as well as electric shock sensations occasionally when touching metal objects.

I am merely an observer right now that is no longer part of this little game. That's the extent of my powers at the moment.

Where are they? If you're able to communicate I assume that means they're still trapped in some way?

They are still trapped in a sense, yes. Even the proper afterlife has been denied to you here, regardless of what your worlds normally have waiting when you die. As such, death is not an escape from this place.

[Well, it's not like he was eager to die and wind up in hell again. Still, he feels more solid in a bunch of his theories as a result.]

Do you know how they have this amount of grip on where our souls end up? Or were they perhaps denied death entirely?

I am not sure yet, to be honest. This is an unexpected situation, even for me.

Still... if you wish to pass a message along to the deceased, I would be able to do so. However... I should say at least one or two of them may try to get in contact with you all again themselves sooner or later by their own means...
