DIE HARD [1st Execution]

You are back on the shuttle. Those of you watching the signs outside will see bits and pieces of the trial, and bar graphs that exclusively favor Loremaster besides a few "undecided". The numbers, at least, favor the allegation that millions of people are voting in this. The shuttle takes you south, to the police station that a few of you have seen. Specifically, its horrific execution arena. And this is filled with an audience.

... A disappointment to the end.

[He heaves a brief sigh -- it really doesn't seem insincere, and he's one of the first to leave; he's also going to double back almost immediately under the cover of the crowd and the encroaching darkness.

If he covertly follows the robots or whoever is moving Loremaster's body after the execution, might he discover something about the corpse, its handling or its destination?

Or perhaps something else altogether?]

[Following the robots seems to be possible. An assistant comes forth once they start leaving the execution arena, trying to leave the building through a secondary exit, away from sight. The corpse they're taking, although out of sight, is very much dead -- bloodstains seeping and staining the sheet they covered it with.

They don't seem to have noticed someone following! Before long they reach the sidewalk, where a white van is already waiting, doors wide open. The robots leave the corpse inside and retreat. The assistant says something to the driver, a few words heard:]

...it to Umeda.

[Having given that instruction, the assistant leaves as well. The white van closes its doors and drives away, turning a corner immediately. The exact direction it went to is unknown, but at least something was heard!]

[Hmmm. Odd (perhaps not so odd) that they look like they're leaving the area altogether -- you'd think they'd dispose of X-Class Akudama nearby (he does know about keeping corpses within the family, or rather the Hidden Village), but who knows what they're doing with the corpses?

That's part of why he's investigating, after all. There's nothing trustworthy about any of this.

Also, though he's not from the area he can at least tell differences in dialects considering all the TV he's been reluctantly watching; does the speaker sound like he's from Kansai or Kanto?]
