WEEK 2
Saturday passes uneventfully save a little rain. It's on Sunday that you get a little notification of probation for new areas: Neo-Nipponbashi and Chuo. It'd be possible to investigate, to check out some anime, or to worship the defunct Shinkansen. But maybe it's hard to get excited about any of that when Friday’s events suggest that you have simply been provided some additional photogenic places to commit murder. Are you going to bother either overseer after their participation in some mockery of justice? Troll the internet? Get a bat out of Hyper Zone and just take out your frustration on everything?
Those of you who entered the pods will experience fewer “painful bursts of color” as your body is unaffected below the knees, though the same amount of “slight teleportation” glitches. Those of you who abstained from the pods will continue to experience all of the above as well as electric shock sensations occasionally when touching metal objects.

The bat in his hands twirls again, until its broad side falls into Zenos' open palm in succession. Tap, tap, tap.]
I accept your stakes, Sephiroth, and I will have you crawling by my will before this day is done. [A wide swing of that bat, until its blunt end it pointed at the ball-shooting-machine, even as his gaze remains on his friendly rival.] Prepare yourself!

Sephiroth only anticipates his success, though his eyes do narrow at the comment...there is that smirk evident on his lips. ]
Oh? Zenos, I'm afraid you're mistaken. Prepare to suffer defeat and soon you will find yourself on your knees at my command.
[ His words are spoken in that smooth tone of his, yep. He'll go to collect himself a bat. Honestly, by the time they're done with this the real question is will there even be anything LEFT of the machine? Let's find out! ]
I've no preference as to whomever goes first, however. Though, I suppose since you've already been going at it, I will allow you to do so and take my turn afterwards. Gracious, no?

[Zenos' smile only spans broader in the face of challenge, his posture righting itself from its indolent repose and once more tightening with the trained poise of a seasoned swordsman. He wastes no time taking up his horrible not-batting stance once more, all the more prepared for the next baseball to shunt towards him.
And when it does, he swings his metal bat hard enough to put yet another dent into its face with the impact of his strike. The bat flourishes a strong arch before coming to rest at Zenos' side again and.... yeah, the score board sensors literally couldn't process it. It's just showing a nice, red "ERROR."
Regardless, Zenos seems pleased with himself when he turns to regard Sephiroth in the cage beside him.]

But the fact that something as simple as a "favor" is being waged against them, and that he may have someone who can match him, or even possibly beat him—yes, that excites him. It only becomes even more true once he watches Zeno get ready for his first swing.
The man observes the secondary dent that's embedded into it from the force of the strike, and the ERROR that is registered before their eyes. This is the beginning of a long night—after all, who is to say that first strike was used with the most of Zenos' strength from the start? ]
Prepare yourself! You will find yourself at a loss soon enough, Zenos.
[ With that dramatic declaration, Sephiroth has brought up the bat and swung with a great amount of force himself. It warps the metal when it hits the ball (not in the way Zenos does), and it curves just slightly—burning a hole through the fence of the batting cage. He then passes Zenos a smirk as the machine doesn't even register the score properly. Still he considers the over-the-top display as more than enough evidence that he's managed to 'top' the previous bat.
The question is, will it remain the same? Zenos is a far larger man than he, after all. Though with his own otherworldly genetics, and abilities...well, that makes it possible for him to be at an equal state. ]
A simple feat. Do you anticipate I would have lost straight from the onset? Let us see you try to keep up.
