Symmetry! That's the norm, which is why it stands out that something's wrong: usually Akira would have two smaller bat wings on the sides of his head, but right now? There's only one]

But okay, going off the position of the existing bat wing, would the missing one be where Akira's poor head was smashed in? Or would it be in a position where you'd need to tear it off/remove it separately?]

[Probably the latter. There are dents near it, but none of them hit right on the location of the missing head wing.

...sure looks like the wing was ripped off, though! Belial could see a bit of a nub of flesh there. This isn't the sort of injury you cause by hitting it, given how flexible such things are]

[Okay cool, good to know! Guess he'll take a selfie in front of the corpse picture of the nub and the other intact wing in case they find the missing one at some point!!

Anyways, since Zenos has the head wound covered... Belial's not going to move Akira or anything but he does want to do a check for rigor mortis by checking for how stiff his muscles are. Can we get an approximate time of death here?]

There's remarkable rigor mortis. How much of it is due to the time and how much of it is due to secondary factors is harder to tell, though.

This man probably has been dead for several hours, though: the look of all the blood around here says that much. It's dry in a way that makes simply impossible this murder happened less than a couple hours ago. It all must have been here for a few hours already]

[Cool beans?! Also while we're looking at the blood here: is the amount of blood on and under the body also more-or-less consistent with what you'd expect from such a grievous head wound?

Otherwise, are there any tracks, smears, trails or anything else unusual with that blood pool?]

[It does seem consistent with this grievous attack on Akira's head. There also doesn't seem to be any tracks, trails, smears, or attempts to clean up anything. Flowey's lamp over there proves it too]

[Okay cool, we're kind of stepping away from the body here since it looks like Zenos and Jake have things more or less covered!

Anything else around the body to find or should he go seeing if there's like, a blood trail running up the escalators or something.]

[There also were some black feathers strewn around the body. They seem to be quite normal -- no rhyme nor reason to how they're laid around.

No blood trails! What he can find, though is fur. There sure seems to be enough fur around to be noticeable -- going from the area the body is at, to the entrance.]

Regarding the black feathers:

1. Are any of them on top of the body or are they only just scattered around it?
2. Are any of them sitting in the blood pool?
3. Approximately how many feathers are we talking here?]

2. A couple of them are on blood, yes. They don't seem to be caked under the blood.
3. Up to two or three dozen black feathers. It's certainly a bunch!

[Regarding point 2! So to clarify, the feathers are practically pristine? Not stained with anything at all?]

[There's no blood splattered on them, correct.

The few that are on blood are far less dirty than you'd expect despite being found, you know, in the middle of blood]

1. What kind of feathers are we talking about here? Are they longer like some wing and tail feathers or are they more the softer, smaller and chubbier kind like the semi-plumes and contours?

2. Are the feathers pretty uniform in size? Like, say, how something probably would be if it was taken from a feather boa or a throw or something?]

1. Oh, definitely softer and smaller. The semiplume look close enough to what Belial found.

2. Oh yes! Pretty uniform in size. There's no variation of sizes going on here!]

And possibly run on over to the furniture store later to grab a feather throw or something of a similar kind of feather texture so they can compare later or whatever. He's helping!!]
