When you venture outside, there is a single theme in the whispers of any person on the street.

“Shinkansen-sama, I’m so sorry... “ “Forgive us, Shinkansen-sama…” “Can’t believe they defiled Kansai Station…” “Damn you, X-Class Akudama!”

The sky is cloudless above the smog. Does this really have anything to do with you? Did everyone else wake up in the residences this morning? Or will you take the bus route up to Chuo just in case?

[Wow I thought you just scaled the building from the outside. Well, something sticks out by the lobby vending machines RIGHT away.

A bright red fire extinguisher.]

[Well, he hasn't been to the lobby so at least he didn't clip through anything probably.....

So is it like, red as in fire extinguisher red or red as in blood red, inquiring minds need to know.]

[It's fire extinguisher red. But it is distinctly dented. That said, there is no other mark from whatever it was dented against.]

[Well, that's wonderful. Any other signs of a struggle in here?

Otherwise, he'll also take note of the position of the fire extinguisher in the lobby -- it's by the vending machines, so how far is that from the door and the elevators? Is it just lying there like it was thrown there?

Also, anything to note about the shape or size of the dent? He'll pick up the extinguisher to examine it more closely.]

[There is one main big, round dent. It is leaning against the wall upright, and the wall itself is plain, with no signs of an impact. When you pick this mysterious object up, underneath on the floor is a single black feather.

Looking through the lobby for anything else, you see a bottle of wine on a table.]

[Well, at least the wine was spared.

What a weird crime scene. One more extinguisher thing: since he's picked it up, does it feel like a full extinguisher? Hasn't been used as a normal extinguisher in any way? Also, what is the state of the feather?

[Sharp eye! The nozzle is actually right in place like the fire extinguisher is brand new!

The feather is just lying there. No other feathers here.]

[I was going to say I guess Akira couldn't lose all his feathers here but then I realized demons don't have feathers. Hm. Kimimaro has seen him in flight form, so putting this together with the feathers is very. Hmmm.

Anyway, this poor fire extinguisher didn't deserve this. Double-check about the dent: is it like, fist-sized or head-sized or some other size?

We'll probably grab both the fire extinguisher and the feather, but they can go sit on one side for now while the wine is examined. Anything unusual about the bottle? Full? Empty? Something that looks like it came from the bar or outside?]

I'd ask about the vintage or quality or whatever but like hell he would know. Where's Diluc when you need him to judge things. In the meantime, we're just going to pick up this wine bottle... (is it corked?) and give it a wary sniff. Just in case there's, I don't know, something weird in it?]

[About the same size as his hand! But not necessarily the same shape, so it's still a rough comparison.

The wine bottle has already been opened and seems to have had wine inside it before it was empty! There are no lingering scents besides wine.]

[HELLO Diluc was summoned to help out. Time to get that bottle away from Kimimaro and take a look.

Tell him more about this wine; can he recognize the bottle from the bar? Is there a label or other identifying marks? Red wine, white, rosé? How about vintage? What can he smell when he wafts it towards his nose? Is it sweet/fruity or something else?]

Hm. It seems at least one of them was too far into the bottle.

[Diluc gets a mild deadeye for his enthusiasm and general territoriality over alcohol but other than that Kimimaro is fine with letting him handle the bar stuff he's apparently assigned himself.

Really, though, this was probably going to happen sooner or later. This stuff really is more trouble than it's worth.]
