Is there such a thing as a quiet day in Kansai? Ever since the resounding crash of the radio tower above the police station, not really. Often a freed criminal or two is heard hollering around some corner. Maybe it's quiet in the sense that humbler citizens are outright wary of the X-Class Akudama. At the research hospital, at least, there's very little commotion. Do you want to just stay in bed? Were you up all night? Or is it the perfect time to awaken and get some bread?

[What you realize from looking through the gap with the flashlight is that the conveyor belt elsewhere in the restaurant must be the entire thing, not just a large chunk of it, because there is nothing remaining inside. The small accessible amount inside of the replicator's compartment is otherwise disconcertingly metallic and vague.]

[He's definitely going to go get a better look at that conveyor belt after this. But first, a test: what happens if he picks up, say, a dish and uses a pair of chopsticks to carefully shove it into that replicator?

That done, he'll be snapping some photos of the replicator and its positioning and setup before turning his attention to the dishwashing area! So... which part of it seems to be more burned/charred than the rest?]

[The dish just sits there. The robot is in no condition to receive your seal or voice recognition, so nothing will be replicated. Like most conveyor belts, the motors are on the side, so being on top of the platform without a belt, goods stay still.

The dishwasher itself is a sink full of water containing a rack, on top of a compartment that can be opened but is flush closed at the moment. Inside the compartment are more racks. They would be moved to cycle somehow, but everything shorted out like crazy.

And then there's a robot behind this dishwasher. An ex-robot depending who you ask.]

[Well, the obvious question, then: does it look like this ex-robot could have been the cause of everything shorting out? As in flying sparks, that sort of thing.

Either way, he's going to bend down to look more closely at that compartment to see if anything else about it looks to be of particular interest.]

[That's the funny thing. The robot actually has a completely different problem. It's shaped almost like a coffee kettle with arms, and the bottom is a round set of treads to roll around. Right above that is a fuel tank. There's a hole pierced in that, along with many other areas - like a thin spear or even an awl. And the floor nearby, along with other areas, is super charred.]

Photo time. Is it safe to assume this was the source of the fire, then? Or is there anything else that looks like it may have contributed?]

[You do not see an additional source besides these two items, but there was certainly a powerful fire, so it's good to have checked for a third source.

Next, as planned, you untangle the conveyor belt. You see the point where it was torn away. Actually, this was lifted up by something big that didn't need to hook a specific part. It just folds naturally at the center of this pile, with everything else ripped.]
